After reading a book I decided I was going to really put mindfulness into practice. It’s by no means easy. Something in the book shook me, made me look at myself and people around me. In the book it has a small paragraph if that which what memory you leave behind. So many people have to have the best of the best. Newest car, newest clothes and so on. Will people remember the costly couch you had or the memory sitting on a couch laughing. Emotions store in memories, (I want get into that a lot because I have written of it before) but do you smile when you smell cookies because grandma made them? Will people remember your home if it wasn’t a welcoming home? Did you let people know you?? The good, bad and ugly? Did you put on a face for people( by this is a front so no one could know who you were, it’s a way to protect yourself) Did you smile? Did you take time to enjoy the little things? Children will remember how you took the flower( dandelion) they picked and put it in water happily. Did you work to live or live to work? Did you have passion? Not everyone loves the job they do but they show up and smile.
Let’s work on self love and mindfulness together, let go of the belief you are what you have. You can create whatever you want. Happy people don’t always have the best of the best, but they make the best out of what they do have.
Book name will be released for my group read.
