Did you know 75 percent to 90 percent of Doctor office visits are related to conditions caused by stress?
What is stress?
Basically stress is anything that upsets or disturbs balance. Stress is your body’s reaction. It can come from a thought or event that makes you frustrated, angry or nervous.
Stress is normal, it is a natural process to help in dangerous situations.Your body’s response to it is “fight” or “flight”. Staying in a constant state of stress takes a toll on your mental and physical health.
What effect does stress have on the health?
People are unaware that didn’t aches and fatigue are negative effects. Stress changes hormones in the body leading to increased inflammation. Long periods of stress can increase heart disease, diabetes, weight gain, digestive disorders, autoimmune disease, along with kidney damage.
We can not control sources of stress, but we can change how we react to them.
Here’s a few ways to manage stress:
Relaxation restores balance and reduces some health risks associated with stress.
Meditation, helps you find peace
Mindfulness, brings you to present
Yoga reinforces mind body connection
Exercise, releases endorphins to brain
Nutrients, natural stress relief
B Vitamins- dairy, eggs, beef, green leafy vegetables
Calcium Magnesium- yogurt, salmon, leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables
Protein- beans meat
Healthy fats- omega 3
Packaged foods and sugar increase anxiety causing cravings. Alcohol is a depressant which meas it slows down the brain and nervous system.
Caffeine, can lead to dehydration, worsen anxiety and interferes with sleep.
Here’s some of my favorite go to products for stress.

How It Works:
Ashwagandha herbal blend utilizes natural, adaptogenic, plant-based ingredients that are scientifically shown to help improve the central nervous system, which is constantly impacted by emotional and environmental stressors. Adaptogens and their benefits are linked to the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Together these three help the body react to repeated stress and support a healthy mind-body connection. In addition, ashwagandha helps combat stress and anxiety by promoting homeostasis and general well-being. Clinical studies show that it helps improve stress response as it lowers cortisol levels, reducing anxiety. Studies also show that ashwagandha supports physical endurance by improving VO2 max. It has also been shown to support cognition and memory. Withanolides, the active constituents in ashwagandha, are responsible for its biological activities.
